Nexus Ingest Privacy Notice

Nexus Ingest Privacy Notice

Effective: September 26, 2026

Nexus Products LLC ("Nexus," "we," or "us") provides Nexus Ingest, a Windows application that helps users acquire, organize, review, preserve, and export information from supported files and records.

Information the application processes

At your direction, Nexus Ingest may process email archives, messages, attachments, documents, images, contact details, calendar items, employment information, file metadata, and information inferred from those records. This material can contain personal or confidential information about you and other people.

Local processing

The current application processes source evidence locally and stores its workspace, review decisions, indexes, and generated packages on your device or in locations you select. It does not automatically upload source evidence to Nexus or a hosted AI service. When you deliberately export or upload information to another product or service, that provider's privacy practices apply.

Website and Microsoft Store information

Shopify processes ordinary storefront information when you visit this website under the site-wide privacy policy. Preview 28 is not connected to a Microsoft Store entitlement provider and does not receive Microsoft Store trial or subscription entitlement information. If a later Store build enables that integration, Microsoft may process account, licensing, purchase, diagnostic, and Store usage information under its own privacy statement, and Nexus Ingest is expected to receive only the entitlement status needed to determine access. This notice must be revalidated and updated to match the enabled integration before commercial release.

Purposes

The application uses information to perform user-requested acquisition, OCR, parsing, organization, search, review, preservation, and export operations; maintain provenance and integrity records; restore application state; and diagnose errors from logs stored locally. The specifically labeled safe-diagnostics export is designed to provide aggregate status, counts, and error categories without raw evidence or identifying fields.

Sharing

The current application does not automatically disclose source evidence to Nexus, advertisers, data brokers, or hosted AI providers. It may disclose information when you direct an export or upload, when required by law, or when necessary to protect rights and safety as permitted by law. Future optional cloud integrations must request clear opt-in consent and be added to this notice before release.

Nexus Ingest can create provider-neutral review packages for deliberate transfer to an AI service selected by the user. Returned decisions are imported locally only after validation, preview, and confirmation, and remain auditable and undoable. These safeguards do not establish truth, attribution, completeness, or lawfulness.

Nexus Ingest can create a contact-enrichment package for deliberate use with an AI service selected by you. That package may include names, email addresses, telephone numbers, employers, job titles, general location fields, websites, social-profile URLs, stable contact identifiers, and other professional contact fields. It excludes message bodies and contact notes. The application warns that the package contains personal information and does not transmit it. If you upload it, the selected service's terms and privacy practices apply.

AI enrichment results can be imported locally. Only results labeled high confidence that match a known contact and contain a valid source URL and supporting evidence are eligible to replace a value. Applied changes return to human review, the prior contact archive is backed up, and a local audit record is retained. Confidence labels and citations do not guarantee identity, accuracy, currency, or lawfulness.

Retention and deletion

Source files remain where you place them. Workspace records, extracted artifacts, caches, logs, and exports remain locally until you delete them using available application controls or the file system. Uninstalling the application may not remove user-created workspaces or exports. Maintain independent backups and verify deletion where required.

Security

Nexus uses reasonable safeguards in the software, but no system is completely secure. You are responsible for Windows account security, device encryption, backups, access permissions, and safe handling of exports.

Your choices and rights

You choose which files to process, which proposed facts to approve, whether to use automated confidence thresholds for eligible non-contact evidence, and whether to share an output. Contacts and imported contact-enrichment changes require human review. Nexus Ingest can create a separate privacy-filtered AI sharing copy that replaces recognized names, email addresses, telephone numbers, dates, and numeric values in supported text files while preserving stable evidence identifiers. This process does not modify original evidence. Binary attachments are excluded because reliable redaction requires format-aware visual review.

Privacy filtering reduces exposure but cannot guarantee anonymity. Identity may remain inferable from context, uncommon events, employment details, quoted language, or information the filter does not recognize. Review every export before sharing it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights. Contact Nexus concerning information held by Nexus. Locally stored workspace information remains under your control.

Children

Nexus Ingest is intended for adults and business users and is not directed to children.

Changes

We may update this notice as the application changes. The current notice will identify its revision date.
